We love Top Ten Wines when we really want to try something new and be sure it will be good. For just bringing home a few bottles, we tend to go to Gerbes. They have a great selection and ALWAYS have lots on sale, which is key.
For sitting about having a nice glass of wine, Sycamore is usually the place. Their bartenders are really good about letting you try anything and giving a good description of what you'll get. Also, oddly, Coley's. The lady that buys their wine is a friend of a friend, and I know she goes on a trip about once a year to actually sample new wines in their native regions. Her name is Marsha and she is very passionate about her wine, and so we've always been really pleased there.

Sky Hi Bar & Grill. The owner Jim has really turned the wine selection around. He is very knowledeable about wine. The beer selections are really good too. Always seems to be something new to try on-tap.

Those are my faves too! I try to buy wine at top ten when I can because Paul always comes up with a great new idea for me and it's usually under $15 a bottle. :)
